Nice.
Doesn't try to call home either.
Does change drive icons in File Explorer, but that can be disabled in Preferences or Advanced Options.

I downloaded the free copy of Hard Disk Sentinel Standard on August 23. Plenty of time since it was three days before the deadline shown. The website said to install it by August 26. I forgot about it until August 28. I installed it anyways and had no problem. I don't know if there is an exact cutoff date. Note in the program About it said was registered to "SharewareOnSale.com".
Note about the coupon codes:
The Giveaway link also shows Coupon Codes for Hard Disk Sentinel. To use these codes you must first follow the Giveaway link shown in the first post and make the purchase from there. The Coupon Codes only work if you do it that way. I tried the same Coupon Codes by going directly to Hard Disk Sentinel (Hard Disk Sentinel - HDD health and temperature monitoring) but they didn't work there.
Note this is perfectly normal because a lot of websites that have promotional codes have you do it that way.
