Disabling specific apps from showing on the suggested start-menu items

    Hi,

The start-menu keeps suggesting me frequently used apps which I don't need showing up on the start menu, these are shortcuts I use from either the keyboard for a specific app or Settings or Screen Snip from the right Action Center side-bar (notifications pane).

Please, reveal to me, the manner in which I could disable specific apps from showing on the suggested start-menu items, through registry, preferably.

    Thanks, in advance.

    Welcome to tenforums.
I guess you know you can choose not to show recently used items..

    ...most used... =off

Enable or Disable Recently Added apps on Start Menu in Windows 10

I don't know how you would stop particular ones being shown though.

Try Open Shell (free) - excellent start menu with fulll drag 'n drop support, configurable search, customisable appearance and behaviour

    OK, thank you.

I'm already using classic shell 4.3.1 (for more than 2 years now).

But I think I didn't know that it was an on going fork on GitHub.
Thanks for the info, so will this new version of Open-Shell 4.4.170 have the option I seek?

    Edit:
So I've looked at the change log for this project,
and there's no mention anywhere about "suggested/frequently used" apps.
So I'm not upgrading this, not worth it.

Man, some days I just wish I was a Linux operator instead.

    2nd Edit:
You know what, I might just end up pinning all of my important programs and not using the suggested at all, like you suggested heh.
Unless someone comes up with a solution.

I've never seen anything on an exclusion list like that. Win 10's start menu in particular is relatively inflexible and limited in certain respects.

Open Shell has a favourites option; you also have a choice of showing either recent or frequently used programs.

As it has a search box, I tend to use that quite a lot, as my start menu is large, although categorised under folders.
