Hi, this appears to give some useful info:
should-I-remove-it
Have you checked the Control Panel, Programs and Features list?
Personally I prefer to run geek uninstaller which runs the standard installer, then scans for the rest.
There's a possible msiexec command line, and if all else fails, you could force remove it using a 3rd party uninstaller.
This:
Amazon.com
says
It also comes with Dell Digital Delivery Service installed memory resident (12MB). To stop the memory resident part of it 1. Click Start. 2. Type "services.msc" and press ENTER. 3. Scroll down and double click "Dell Digital Delivery Service". 4. Change "Startup Type" to "Disabled". 5. Click on "Stop". You can still run the program from "Programs" -> "Dell"
I think you need to get .msi file from somewhere.
dell.d3.installer.4.0.92.0.msi
Maybe can be had from dell site.
https://www.dell.com/learn/us/en/04/...gital-deliveryThe Dell Digital Delivery application is preinstalled on most Dell systems. If you need to re-install the application, select your product from Drivers and Downloads. Select category "Application" to find the Dell/Alienware Digital Delivery Application.
It will probabaly be in the official dell recovery media for that machine.
I have that install file but it won't work despite browsing to the correct folder. I solved the problem by searching for and deleting all instances of the path shown in post 1 in the registry. Revo uninstaller was then able to remove the program and any leftovers. This why I avoid installing such bloatware on my own PCs although I expect it was installed by Dell on manufacture.
- have you tried that- shown in article I posted. There's a possible msiexec command line
Also that shows where this should be installed. As I suggested: if you can find a folder - especially one with an exe file in it - then you can use Wise Uninstaller (free) or Revo Uninstaller (Pro) - can't recall if its free version supports custom or forced uninstall- then browse to that folder and start the forced uninstall from there.
GeekUninstaller (freeware)
RevoUninstaller (freeware)
(With Revo, no need to create System Restore; don't reboot even if prompted; make sure you select/run the Advanced option to remove all leftover files/folders/registry entriees)
Ah- so you have managed to remove it...? (not marked as solved at that point so I missed the line in the middle of your post..)
