Software To Securely Delete Certain Folders From A Drive ?

I would be pleased to receive suggestions regarding what software preferably free and simple that I can use to delete "selected" folders from an external drive ?

I am asking this question because when I was younger I made derogatory comments amongst other "stuff" regarding a relation !

As I am not getting any younger they are my only relative and may look at the drive. I don't want them to see these folders.
    Thanks.

If it is a mechanical disk and you want to erase some folders and contents , there are several programs for the purpose.

glaryutilities free edition has a file/folder shredder

    Glary Utilities | Glarysoft

it can also wipe free space which would overwrite anything you have previously deleted yet might still have been recoverable.

If it is an ssd , one way to avoid thrashing the disk is to delete the file/folder, then run Trim Optimize

Although well intentioned the poster who suggested "Glary Utilities" to get the file shredder that is not an answer for me . I don't want to instal "Glary Utilities" which i consider bloat to get this one programme.

I will probably try the options suggested by the first poster.
    Thanks.

Have a look at the tutorial here:

Add Secure Delete to Context Menu in Windows 10

If you're using an SSD (Solid State Drive) then these overwrite methods are not required.
