    Now That's a useful little tool..........but unfortunately for me.........*snake eyes*

    App running in background is interfering with dotnetfx install-net-version-detector.jpg

    Well somehow 3.5 has been removed or else it's corrupted. So install from ISO using DISM and if that doesn't work it's time to reinstall windows.

    Again what? You mean that you already tried installing [3.5] via Windows ISO using DISM?

    If that didn't work then yes reinstall windows.

    Yahoo.............it's finally in,

    didn't expect all this rigmarole when I woke up this morning.......

    App running in background is interfering with dotnetfx install-net-framework-installed.jpg


    Followed this procedure copying the sxs folder from the W10 disc exe install, copied to a temp folder I put into C drive and then ran the DISM command line in powershell........voila!

    If it's a relatively new install of windows I've had the same happen twice in succession before. I don't know why.

    Yeah, it's a new op/sys install, it's been up & running for less than a week
