First of all, I need to inform you that I am not part of EaseUS or have any relationship with EaseUS.

I'm just a windows user who chooses to switch to using products from EaseUS without any purpose other than my convenience in using the computer

    -----
has anyone completed all the tests outlined in the Google doc to report the results?

    >> Yes, me.... except clone the OS transfer between HDD. because i dont have other computer/hdd to do that

All your partitions safe and disturbed except for size?

    >> yeah, i test it on my production laptop that you can see the specs at My Computer info

I 'm paranoid about partition corruption

    >> me too, but that why we need backup, right ? i do full backup before i run the procedure...
Besides that, I also tested how effective the backup application I used was. if it's corrupt, do I have enough backup or not.

A few months ago, a Macrium Reflect partition restore corrupted my D: drive
    >>Luckily for me, I didn't experience that. An application does have a different character and requires different handling. also i always take more extra time to verify the backup and also i dont use any compression methode. different chef, different taste

Yes, I do backups daily, but many files that I "recovered" are corrupted and unreadable.
    >> what i do?
    i backup C (system)
and i create other task to backup Data
and i run Google Drive to sync my data, onedrive for document related my works.

already tested using macrium and easeUS
Many thanks, as they say on BBC. [broadcast in US on NPR.]

The last task is to clone a partition. The directions did not say what options to use. I selected "Clone as the source". How do I verify that the data in the two partitions is the same?

    i think....
u can compare using 3rd party software
    or verified clone

    sector
    file number

for me... i use file size, file number, cluster, because i just clone secondary partition not clone disk

    - - - Updated - - -

i choose to change macrium reflect to easeus todo because:
    developer active
they open suggestion not only stick to their roadmap

i think i will use easeus partition (switch from minitool) because:
    developer active
they open suggestion not only stick to their roadmap
and i think they use "new" algoritm to process partition changes after boot, not like minitool that only use memory lock and that have minor conflict with windows security and windows ransomware protect

    the minus
    1. load screen for all easeus is took more time than other developer product
    2. partition master always load to easeus master suite, i dont know, is this their concept to open all app using master suite, or the developer has "wrong call"

I just compared a few folders - I did not have any full comparison s/w available. I foregt if I compared the 'used space'.

C'mon peeps -- this is about the most useless bit of software on the planet.

    @EnvioX (and others).

    @mngerhold as well !!

There's zillions of better apps already out there -- Linux GPARTED 100% FREE for one plus DD on any linux distro. On Windows what's wrong with DISKPART etc. Or even Free stand alone stuff like Macrium.

GPARTED is easily creatable as a stand alone bootable USB stick -- download the ISO then create bootable USB device either on Linux with DD or windows usinf Rufus or whatever,

I'm not anti 3rd party software but it needs to bring better stuff to the table than what is already out there and on partition managers most Windows ones are --EPIC FAIL especially the mini gpt tools etc which have "Pay" for the features you actually want to use.

Just create a bootable iso with GPARTED -- even the most bigoted Windows use wouldn't have the slightest problem in using these.

Forget about paying 3rd party partition managers for providing things that others can supply free. No need for mini partition tool or other stuff that requires you to PAY for things like cloning windows partition to new hardware etc,

Right click or whatever -- 100% the same stuff that Windows users are used to including format to NTFS / fat32, create gpt drive etc.

Forget those partition managers that start wanting you to "Go PRO" I.E PAY for stuff that is freely available elsewhere.

Right mouse click or use the menu to choose what you need to do, Any Windows user would have ZERO problems with this in spite of it being a Debian Linux variant.

    Cheers

The Clone Partition tool has an option for "Sector by sector copy". If I had chosen that I would have had to find a program that did a bit by bit comparison of the two partitions. I didn't select that so I assume it just copied that files to the new partition. That made the job easier. I used an old program I had called CloneSpy. It compared the checksums of the files in the two partitions. It found 760 files in each partition and 1520 duplicate files. That verified that files in the cloned partition were equal to the original partition.

BTW, I originally was going to clone the 931GB C: partition to a 1TB external disk. However, I found the estimated time to do a sector by sector clone was over 27 hours. I didn't want to wait that long. I then created a small 128GB partition on the 1TB drive. I used the new partition for the Clone Partition test.

Someone mentioned not liking having to launch Partition Master from Master Suite. I found the following:

    In C:\Program Files (x86)\EaseUS\EaseUS Partition Master\bin

    For current Partition Master 16.8
epm0.exe - directly launches EaseUS Partition Master program
Main.exe - launches EaseUS Partition Master Master Suite
Shortcut for Partition Master: "C:\Program Files (x86)\EaseUS\EaseUS Partition Master\bin\Main.exe"

    For new Partition Master 17.0
epm0.exe - directly launches EaseUS Partition Master program *
EPMUI.exe - launches EaseUS Partition Master Master Suite
Shortcut for Partition Master: "C:\Program Files (x86)\EaseUS\EaseUS Partition Master\bin\EPMUI.exe"

    * for Windows 10 Home requires you to right-click on it and select Run as Administrator

That means you can run Partition Master directly by running epm0.exe. I don't know if there is any downside doing it that way. You might want to change the Partition Master shortcut to epm0.exe instead of the program for Master Suite.
