    Replace W10 Clock/Calendar with 3rd party program

    Hello:

anyone have any knowledge of respectable 3rd party clock/calendar program to install into 10?

when I installed 10 I deliberately removed Microsoft store from the operating system. It's a personal preference, I generally don't make use of any Microsoft add-ons at all.
What I didn't realize is the system tray clock/calendar is not installed by default when the system installs from the disc (thx a lot Bill Gates), it's a part of *store* & has to be acquired from there.
All that appears is the tray time/date, but the actual clock & calendar are not there at all.

I did have a look at a few programs but many of them rely on *store* to install them. Seeing as *store* is not there these program that are linked to Microsoft will not install.

Anyone know of any programs that are not linked to Microsoft & have developed a basic clock/calendar that is similar to the what the original program would be?

    thx

T-clock still seems to work in Win 10.. according to this video:
Modernize Windows 10 with these FREE tweaks and tools! - YouTube

with link to it below the video

Your description (a screenshot would help!) suggests you don't see a calendar pop up when you left click the time/date in the tray.

Personally I've no idea of the impact of uninstalling the Store on that.. and I would never recommend removing that- remove the other UWP apps if you wish (might want to keep the Calendar app if you wish to use the calendar).

Otherwise you need to find a 3rd part program such as Kalendar to provide this.

What is it that you are missing? It is not at all clear.

What's missing is the *widget* that is the round clock that is displayed when adjusting clock time & the pop-up calendar that both would appear at the bottom right corner of the screen above the taskbar.
A screenshot is hard to accomplish as both widgets (even tho they are not there) do not remain on the screen if one moves the cursor away from where they appear to take the desktop screenshot.
    This is w7 .....

Are you thinking of Win 7?

    This is what I see:

If you got that popping up then you could consider this (if it still works - MS changes things..)

Enable old Windows 7 Clock, Calendar in Windows 10 Taskbar

quite true...that is W7, I edited my prior post to display the *10* calendar, but that's it in a nutshell, I've no calendar or clock at all, they are not part of the operating system as it installs from the disk

    Now I understand.
There used to be some tweaks to make that run in Windows 10 but they disappeared with Version 1607.
I don't believe there are any working tweaks left but you could use StartIsBack++, according to one claim I saw but did not test out

    Sorry,

It is not a solution for your analogue clock requirement but that screenshot was, I believe, from
Settings, Personalisation, [under the heading Notification area], Turn system icons on or off

Or you can use [same functions but it looks a bit different]
    %windir%\explorer.exe shell:::{05d7b0f4-2121-4eff-bf6b-ed3f69b894d9}\SystemIcons
Just set that as the target of shortcut to get easy access to it.

Do note that turning system icons on or off is the step before hiding or showing them.
They must be turned on for them to be shown as options for you to consider hiding / showing them.
