I'm not sure what you mean by - it's pointing to character 1, Do you have something odd there?
As you'll see, that was all in reference to your screenshot. Look carefully and you will see what I mean.

    * Can you post a text version of the error message in red please?

Ah, I see it in the error message....but I don't get the significance.

    Error message is:

Get-AppXPackage : The package runtime information is corrupted. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80073D55)
    At line:1 char:1

Sorry for the late / brief replay, Covid has hit me harder than I expected. Now the whole family has it.

I have now tried Option 2 above with no success.

Would upgrading to Windows 11 be likely to fix the issues I'm having? I'm assuming it basically replaces 10 completely?

Have you tried the first link?
I put that first 'cos it's different to all the others.

    Otherwise research e.g.

Microsoft Store App missing in Windows 10 (7 ways to Get it back)

Win 11 is an upgrade procedure. If you have performed an in-place upgrade repair and had no success, it may be that upgrading keeps whatever setting you have that stops you having the Store.

    Both are upgrade procedures.

Plus you really need your PC to be compatible with Win 11, and there's a bit of an adjustment to make.

    Hi Bastet,

Thanks, I've ggone back and had a look at post #3. The link "If playback doesn't begin shortly try restartingg your device - Appuals.com" doesn't appear to be for the same issue. Is it the correct link?

I tried the second link for installing the new Microsoft Store. This gives the following error:

D:\Data\Downloads> Add-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsStore_22110.1401.10.0_neutral___8wekyb3d8bbwe.Msixbundle Add-AppxPackage : Deployment failed with HRESULT: 0x80073CF9, Install failed. Please contact your software vendor.

Weird as that’s one of my pre-written replies on the MS community so then link is included in that & is correct there. Please try this:
Windows 10 Store not Installed [FIXED] - Appuals.com

I see that you’ve downloaded the fix to the D partition, is Windows installed on that drive?

Something more than just the store seems to be broken here.

Error code 0x80073D55 means APPMODEL_ERROR_PACKAGE_RUNTIME_CORRUPT - The package runtime information is corrupted.

    Hi Tekkie Boy,

I'm beginning to think that is correct...more going on. Earlier today I tried updating drivers and got an error installing Visual C++ 2022 distributable.

"The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not available...." II tried online fixes for this but no luck.

My Adobe Creative Cloud App has also come up with errors and won't recognise my installed apps.

    Any suggestions?
