Startup programs not launching on startup

Hi so I am using Win 10 and recently just noticed mainly due to my keyboard having RGB visa Razer Synapse 3 program and not going to my preferred settings on launch that my startup apps/programs are not starting when I turn on the PC. I have noticed a drastic speed increase as well when I turn on my PC so I assume no startup apps are launching and it is just turning on. I have noticed in my notifications tray where the apps I expect to launch ie Razer Synapse 3 and Nvidia Geforce Exp and a few others aren't in my notifications tray anymore either they only go there once I manually open the app to start them. I tried also searching for a startup folder on the computer to manually add apps but I don't seem to have a startup folder. I also noticed in the task manager I have no apps on the startup tab.

Anyone able to have any idea on how I can get these apps to launch on startup?

    Thank You

Hello, and welcome to Ten Forums.

You can see if you may be able to use one of the options in the tutorial below to have the apps run at startup.

Add, Delete, Enable, or Disable Startup Items in Windows 10

Hi, please confirm you are logged in to your usual user account.
Are the usual items on your desktop?

I tried also searching for a startup folder on the computer to manually add apps but I don't seem to have a startup folder.
Do not try to fix things like this at this stage. (And that would be inappropriate, anyway).

Was there any update or change before this happened?
    - please have a look at your Update History.

Note: there is a chance that using a System Restore point may help- do you have a suitable one?

Get a copy of this portable program:
    Download CrystalDiskInfo Portable - MajorGeeks
    - you can download it onto a flash drive if you wish.
Run it, and advise if it passes. Green is good.

Replying to Brink none of that works here is why-
Step 1- No items listed in startup on task manager as stated.
Step 2- I dont have shell:Startup on the pc as it cannot be located
Step 3- I dont understand that option also the startup folder cannot be found
Step 4- No apps showing under startup on settings
Step 5- Dont have access to advanced options at all for any apps
    Step 6- Doesn't work.

    Thanks for trying

    Try the solution here
    Task Manager Startup Items missing

recreate the two startup folders IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THEM
as on the link at this post
Apparently, not having a Startup folder in the Start Menu causes the new Task Manager to not show any startup items. Re-creating the empty Startup folder in my Start Menu made the other startup items reappear in the list for me.

So, make sure you have a Startup folder under Programs in both your personal start menu (default of "C:\Users\_username_\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup") and the all users one (default of "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup").

HAVING CHECKED that all is good with the drive as per my colleagues post

Ran Crystal Disk and shows everything is 100% good.

    Will now try Macboats suggestion

@macboat how do I create both startup folders? I understand C:\Users\_username_\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup") and the all users one (default of "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup" but I

for example C:\Users\Evan\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs is my personal one but how do I add the startup folder? Just navigate to the above and right click add new folder and call it Startup? Cause I can navigate to C:\Users\Evan\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs now C:\Users\Evan\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp

Same for the all users one I can get to programs but no startup.

Here's how this one should look e.g. (ignore the top 3 folders):
Startup programs not launching on startup-1.jpg

If you don't see Start-up - add that folder.

    Likewise for the others.

thanks for the reply so just navigate to where the programs are for both personal and all users and just create a folder called Start-up and the computer should pick up on that?

If the folders are missing - put them back. Recreate them.

Then also check your registry: here's one of the keys (bottom):

If I press Win key + R (run box) then enter:
    shell:Startup

    file explorer opens at
    C:\Users\dalaw\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Yes in so far as you go to
    C:\Users\_username_\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
and see if you have a folder
    named
    start-up
as shown on my colleagues screenshot

if not in the location I have pasted above you right click and click NEW folder and name it
    start-up

then you do the same here
    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

and you will have to enable on VIEW tab in explorer to view the program data and app data folders
That is on File expolorer click view tab
on right of menu bar click options
a new window opens click view tab
click to enable show hidden files and folders
    click apply and ok
