Running programs like "Services" and "Registry Editor"

This isn't strictly about Windows 10, but it's something I've wondered about for a long time. This is an example: If you look in "Administrative Tools," there are shortcuts to "Registry Editor" and "Services." However, whenever I read something on pretty much any help website about how to solve a problem or change a setting, the instructions always are to press the Windows key + R and then enter regedit or services.msc respectively. Why is that? (Running Windows 10 64-bit latest build, not that it matters.)

    No difference, honestly.

Some people perhaps simply find it easier/faster to open the 'Run' command via a keyboard shortcut.

Plus, when answering someone's question about say... 'How do I get to 'Regedit', it's more simple to tell them to use the keyboard shortcut, than to walk them through the steps of finding it in Admin Tools.

    Just my thought.

The sole difference when you use the Run dialog, is when you use CTRL+SHIFT when you click OK (or press enter), It then open an elevated process...

Some Administration processes will automatically obtain elevation privilege, others who can be run in standard user processes will need authorization.

For example CMD in any case would...
