Personally, I would use Disk Cleanup which is provided Free by Microsoft, then these 3rd party tools.
You can find it under "Windows Administrative Tools." in your Programs folder.

There are quite a few threads concerning this.

MS has their own Disk Cleanup Utility which is very good because it gives you control [ check box options ] over the items that you want cleaned. Option TWO [ Extended Disk Cleanup ] here is what I use . . .
