Suggest you uninstall the "tweakers " and any similar programmes.
Completely shutdown the computer and then restart.
    In Powershell >run as administrator,type in----dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth ---and press Enter.
When it has finished and still in Powershell, type in ---sfc /scannow ---press Enter again.
See if that has repaired Photos.
if not,go to ---Settings >Apps &features and scroll down to ---Microsoft Photos, then LEFT click on it and then select ---Advanced Options ---and try Repair and/or Reset.
Finally ,if that doesn't work,go through the Uninstall and download and Reinstall.

My understanding is that Murf1954 has reinstated the old Windows Photo Viewer. Nothing to do with Photos.

    Example:
windows photo viewer always say loading-1.jpg

i think a link from your site in the registry and in winero tweaker and the windows club tweaker
As to why 3 different approaches (which should all be the same thing) are mentioned, I have no idea.

    Only 1 should be needed.

The presence or absence of the 2 tweak tools is neither here nor there.

@Murf1954If you rt click an image file, click Open With, do you see Photo Viewer listed?
What happens if you click that?
    Does Photo Viewer open?

    iam on windows 10
Sure. The forum clearly pompted you for your full build number when you wrote your post- so we don't have to keep on asking.. winver. Thanks.

joeandmarg0 referred to uninstalling Photos, as I understand it.

Photo Viewer is actually a dll, not an installed program, so you can't uninstall and install it.

I will try the suggestion and when i right click on a photo it comes up but
lways says loading i hat e that all i am asking is here a way to stop seeing loading on every photo
What we don't know is why. So we have to ask you to try some experiments.

Naturally everyone wants an instant magic fix for free... - who knows? Maybe someone will suggest one.

Try reversing the setting to enable Photo Viewer (e.g. using Winaero's tweaker). Check your file type /Photo association.
Do you still have a problem with 'loading' when you double click a photo/image file?

    1. Please compare opening different file types. Let's be more precise than 'photos'.

What's the result for each of these?

    jpg
    bmp
    png

And with which program is each of those associated?

Note: you can create each of those file types using e.g. Paint if you don't have examples.

    2. Create a new user for test purposes. Log in as that user. Do you see the same problem?

    3. Try resetting problem file types to default. See the relevant tutorial from the searchable Tutorial section.

If you are using Windows 10 operating system, maybe you noticed Windows photo viewer is just missing. Follow the methods below, restore Windows photo viewer right now! CASE 1. Windows 10 is upgraded from Windows 7/8.1 CASE 2. Windows 10 is from a clean installation
Case 1. Windows 10 is upgraded from Windows 7/8.1
If your Windows 10 is upgraded from Windows 7/8.1, you just need to set Windows Photo Viewer as default app to find it back. 1) Right-click on a picture, click Open with to select Choose another app. 2) Click More Apps and scroll down to find and click Windows Photo Viewer. Then tick on Always use this app to open .png files and click OK to finish setting.
Case 2. Windows 10 is from a clean installation
If you performed a clean installation of Windows 10, Windows Photo Viewer doesn’t show in “Open with” list. Follow the guide below, take “Windows Photo Viewer” back to “Open with” list 1)Open Run dialog box by pressing the windows key + R. Type regedit in the open box and press Enter. 2) Click Yes if prompted by UAC. 3) Click HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT Then go to Applications > photoviewer.dll > shell 4) Right-click on shell, then click new > Key, name the new key open. 5) Right-click on open, then click New > String Value, name the new string value MuiVerb. 6) On the right pane, right-click on MuiVerb, then choose Modify and type @Photoviewer.dll,-3043 into Value data box. Make sure no typo and then click OK. 7) Right-click on open, then click New > Key, name the new key command. 8) On the right pane, right-click on (Default), then choose Modify and type %SystemRoot%\System32\rundll32.exe “%ProgramFiles%\Windows Photo Viewer\PhotoViewer.dll”, ImageView_Fullscreen %1 into Value data box. Make sure no typo and then click OK. 9) Follow step 7), create one more new key under open, and name it Drop Target. And then right-click on Drop Target, click New > String Value, name it CLSID. 10) On the right pane, right-click on CLSID, choose Modify and type {FFE2A43C-56B9-4bf5-9A79-CC6D4285608A} into Value data box. Make sure no typo and then click OK. That’s it. Now you can view your picture with Windows Photo Viewer and set it as default app.

If you're unwilling to take an analytical approach to try to determine the cause, as seems the case, then you can see whether an in-place upgrade repair install which keeps all progs and data helps. Tutorial available.

Otherwise, as I have suggested, try resetting the relevant extensions to defaults using the relevant tutorial.

It seems it's not worth me spending more time on this, so I wish you good luck. Unsubscribed.
