clean hard drive win 10

It may depend upon the type of infection. As to fully cleaning a drive I use Linux Mint with a USB Drive Dock running GPARTED to fully delete any partitions on a drive to get an as-shipped condition, gets rid of partitions Windows Disk Management can't. Some information about rootkit infections:

I would suggest downloading Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware (Free) and running a full system scan.
