    Remove app from menu

I have an app that I installed from MS Store and I can't uninstall it. I have tried ever Powershell and DISM and every other means to remove it with no luck. What I would like to know is where the Start Menu entry is saved. Tried deleting all references to the menu name out of the Registry and it was still there.

The appearance of a UWP app from the Store in the Start Menu is not dependent on the registry or the conventional folders used to make up the start menu using by traditional downloaded programs based on exe/dlls.

If you have a suitable System Restore point you could try using that of course.

The app is: "Speed Test - Internet Speed Test Tools" "BluskySoftwareInc.SpeedTest-FreeInternetSpeedTestT_2.4.2.0_neutral_~_61yk12x6sxn40"

I contact Blusky and they could not give me any information on the problem. When trying to uninstall I get the error 0x80073cfa and can't find anything that is solid information on it.

I tried deleting the program files and that did not help.

Deleting program files is never a good idea. That actually loses you the opportunity of using a 3rd party uninstaller capable of forced uninstallation by browsing to a remnant of the program.

If you have problems uninstalling a program, try a 3rd party uninstaller. In this case, one capable of dealing with UWP apps as well.

I tried CCleaner it cannot remove it, every time an uninstall is tried, all I have to do is reset the app and it works again.

OFF TOPIC [ For Info ]:

That is what I use, and have done for a long time. I just copied the Speed Test Files [ speedtest.md & speedtest.exe ] to the System32 Folder, and setup a link to run it as and when in my customised ToolBar.
