    FreeFileSync Pop-up file issue

I've had FreeFileSync (now version 11.18 (donation edition)) for some time now. One issue is that when I synchronize, the pop-up window tends to block the list of files that I've synchronized. Although I can drag this window out of the way, it won't "remember" this position for the next time.

    e.g. FreeFileSync Pop-up file issue-image.png

    Any way to change this?
    Does this happen to everyone?

    Thanks in advance,

I have the latest version and I think it still does that but why is it a problem?

Only because if I have a list of files that I’ve synchronized, l like to make sure they were all included. It’s not a major problem, but I’d rather not have to drag the pop-up box each time.

I think it writes a log for each use so maybe you could use that to check although I don’t know how much of a PITA that might be.

Thanks for the idea, but it's easier to just drag the pop-up window down before closing it. I guess I'm just wondering why I can't drag it & then make sure that the window opens in the same position every time.

I'd post your question on the FreeFileSync Users Forum FreeFileSync Forum

You can also look at the FAQ for the location of the log file and see if there is a configuration file in the same folder. If there is then open open it with notepad and see if anything looks like the size and location of any of the windows. You might get lucky and fine something.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I did post this on their Forum twice, but couldn't get a definitive answer. I also just searched for a configuration file, but I don't think there is one. Probably not worth any more time, as I can just drag the window each time I want to.

    I appreciate your patience.

Since I use it every day, I’ll do a little testing and if I find a solution I’ll let you know.
