Referring to the OP's original post (now removed)
It's OK, and other free ones, too. My preference is still for MS Office software though, all paid for, but in a different league. That said, the better free office suites are certainly quite adequate for most folk who just need general functionality. Some are actually very impressive, just not for me at this time.

i used Libre office for about 2 years ,very powerfull and on par with MS office .
just need to get used to it ,as buttons / fuctions are obviously at other places one is used to with MS office.

Problem is when you get used to MS Office, then Libre office feels cumpsy and it's hard to make a switch, not to mention lack of features that MS office has.

In the end, it all depends on users needs. If using pc for work activities, it is no contest really. Even then, for personal use, the cut down online Office versions are adequate for basic use.

And I think that a lot of people don't even realize that there are free web versions of Word and Excel which will do most of the basic tasks just fine.

LOL I didn't create this thread. I think the OP's opening post may have been removed?

    Christophe.

PS I'll mark this resolved as I seem to have inherited ownership but the thread now has no opening context.

^Haha, now that's funny. There really wasn't much of a point, and certainly no question in the original post.

    Indeed.

I have edited my post (now the first one) to explain that this thread is now dead. As you implied most adroitly, if it wasn't already.
