Adobe Acrobat DC - don't sign up for the 7 day trial

I did this to use the edit feature then decided to keep it for a while to see what else I could do with it. I did not read the fine print.

It turns out there is a 50% cancellation fee after 14 days so if I cancel now (installed 1/26/22) I owe them $82 to not use their software.

I'll keep it for a year then cancel it but this really ticks me off. I'll never use another Adobe product.

That's bad news. I found this article which was interesting though I don't know if it works or not.

A bit rich to blame Adobe when you didn't make yourself aware of all the terms and conditions of the trial. Maybe read a bit more carefully next time?

    Mark,

He did not blame Adobe, he blamed himself.

It's pure BS though. It does not cost Adobe a damned thing when I sign up so why do they get to claim a penalty when I cancel? It's pure greed, nothing more and just an attempt to keep people from leaving Adobe. Don't they realize it has exactly the opposite effect and drive customers away with this predatory practice?

Fabler2, thank you, I'll give your suggestion a try.

Edit: I changed from Pro ($14.99 a month) to Basic ($12.99 a month). Now waiting for the new plan to be available to manage then I'll try to cancel it.
Thanks again. If nothing else I save $2 a month

It's like that $50 fee you get if you cancel a doctors appointment within less than 24 hours of the appointment .... even though they don't have anyone to fill your spot

It's just a BS ploy to make money.

No one ever really reads the terms and conditions because they make it so hard to read it all with all the BS mumbo jumbo instead of spelling it out in plain English. I wouldn't pay it , I would block payment through my CC company and fight it under the guise of misleading business practices , the charge was not clearly stated up front at the time of download or installation.

There should have been some kind of warning that popped up warning you when you approached the 7th day of the free trial? if not , I definitely would not pay it.
