    MiniTool Partition Wizard Free Question

Does the MiniTool Partition Wizard Free Edition v12.6 allow you to create a bootable USB stick?

I'm still using a CD version of this program (v9.1 - still works great!).
Because it is a utility that I like to use when working on other peoples PCs the ability to start it and use it with out installing it is crucial. But more and more people do not have an optical drive so it is becoming a problem.
I have other free options but I always liked the MiniTool one.

    Hi TV2,

Yes you can apply the iso to a USB drive or even load the Wim file directly from any Bootable device.

Use Rufus if you want a USB drive that boot natively or you can drop the iso on a Ventoy initiated Drive.

That requires "Bootable Media Builder", which is not in the free version as per the official webpage below:

Unfortunately, the official webpage does not provide such an ISO file.

    Thanks folks.
So nothing has changed. (And they do not make this clear on their website).
And I recall that in the past the trial edition also did not have the Bootable Media Builder functionality either.

    Probably should bite the bullet.
Or keep using Easeus and Disk Director.

What are your thoughts now on Easeus after being familiar with their software? I get their mailings and am quite interested in what they have to offer generally. Looks like a bunch of really useful utilities.

I can't even remember how I ended up with my Easeus Partition Master 10.1 software. I think it was a promotion and I got it for free.

I like it just fine. It does the job. It does everything that Mini-Tool can do, plus a couple functions not available to the PW free edition. I like Partition Wizards interface better, but that could be just that it was the first partitioning program I used, probably dating back to the year 2000 or so.
I know I have the original download saved. I installed it, made bootable media, and then uninstalled it. I know it did not have USB capability then.

Since all modern systems are still running on NTFS all of these old programs still do the job. But my CDs need CSM enabled to boot so it has become cumbersome - the few times a year I need them.

If it can do it on all sorts of USB drives you can be confident that there's NO problems with local disks.

And lately Macrium Reflect and Partition Wizard are performing like the Kings of the crops.

PW was able to create 4 Primary bootable part on a usb thumb, With 3 different file system... and with one UEFI Boot strap

you can boot multiple Windows and Linux in MBR and UEFI.... Bla bla... PW was the only one able to hide the ESP partition from all booted OSes... Making it a ...Clean job.

Their Software is sound well done and properly registers as a fully UEFI / GPT / secure Boot compliant.

    One of my "best buy"
