Get button is white on white bachground, Microsoft store

    Hi all,

I had a thread running about being unable to add the Raw image extension from the store. After lots of store re-setting I found the "get"button was actually white on white so not visible unless you look really closely. Here is a screen shot:

Appreciate advice on how to get the button visible again. I have terminated and reset the app multiple times, logged in and out of the store and run wsreset.exe many times all from running as admin.

One suggestion has been to create a different account to see if that works better.

I can see other buttons in the store are also white text on white but against a grey BG, for example when looking at movies.

    - and have you done that yet? It's a key diagnostic test discriminating between a general issue and one specific to your account.

If all is fine in a new account, general system repairs are unlikely to help.

Please try what I suggested in your other thread and report the result.

Also please advise history (usually omitted by posters): what changed just before this problem arose? When did you last not have it?

    Thanks.

thanks for the reply, regarding your question, I don't recall actually using the store. I had all my own apps when I built this PC so no idea if it was working previously.

So if I'm to create a new account that needs to be done within the store and use a different email address correct? I see an option to add a work or school account - is this the option I want?

I notice that when I am not signed in and look in the store those apps also have the white on white button.

You can simply create a local account..

OK made a local account and tried the store and it's the same. Switched back again and it's still the same there as well. Is there any way to re-install the store?

That button in the Store should be whatever colour you set for your Accent colour in Settings > Personalisation > Colours. Try changing your Accent Colour a few times.

Thanks for the response. I tried it out and it and it remains as a white button with white font against a white background.

Do you have another account you can sign in with? If not you could create a new local account as a test. Does it behave correctly in another account?

If it does, then try re-registering the Store for the current user (Option One). Or if not, then for all users (Option Two) from this tutorial.

Both of those done (see above) and other Store tutorials used in previous thread:
#Raw Image extension refuses to install

It's not obvious to me that either a clean boot or an in-place upgrade repair install would help here.. That said,
Is there any way to re-install the store?
    - an in-place upgrade repair install would logically be the next thing to try, lacking anything more specific.

Are you using any kind of theme or anything that changes the appearance of Windows?

Does the button you can't see actually work? (Or is its lack of visibility an indication akin to being 'greyed out'?)

Thanks for the replies, no - no themes in place and yes the button works - I think the path of least resistance is to remember that the button is hard to see, I don't use the store that much, maybe a future upgrade will deal with it?

The button has white text on a white background which is a very slightly different shade of white to the background. I'll see if anyone else come sup with a bright idea to solve it - if not I'll mark it "solved"
