Using Whatsapp Without Real Phone Number?

Been using whatsapp for a long time on my old iphone. Verified my number a long time ago and thus its linked. I want to open a second whatsapp account but do not want it to be linked to my real number. At the moment, i actually have two active sim cards so two active numbers. One of the numbers is an old on and its linked to my primary whatsapp. I also have two iphones so I want the second whatsapp to be in the other iphone.

I know if i wanted to use my other sim card number to create a second whatsapp account, i can easily do this. But I want privacy and do not want the other people to have access to my number. I know that when you check your whatsapp contacts, it shows the other person's number. So i want the number that is shown to the other person be not real. Does anyone have tips on how I can do this?

I used textnow and got a number but apparently whatsapp does not accept it. Does whatsapp allow you to use a google voice number as verification or not? Because I tried to log into my other google account, then sign up for google voice number... and then put my other sms number as verification since you need a real number to get a new GV number... but when I did this, I did get 6 digit text and thought I had gotten a google voice number. Then I later found out I don't when I check my settings and it says I don't even have a google voice number. I then removed the other sms number i have linked to it and tried to redo it... same issue. Because when I click on get google voice number, it does give you numbers but when you choose it... which i already did minutes ago with verification, it ask for a number to verify... and when i use the same sms number to verify, it doesn't allow it since I already used it minutes ago to verify what was supposedly my new google voice number.

Can anyone give me any options here? Does burner app from app store work? I checked online you can still use whatsapp without having it connected to a real number or even a number.

How is your privacy invaded on second phone with a separate number. Set it up so you only use known contacts you select. What else can they do other than phone you in which case you block them.

What possible personal information could they get other than what you give them?
Even if they passed your number to others, the worst they could do is call you and get no reply.

Doing what you want is like being ex directory but with modern autodial programs, that does not stop junk calls. So even if you keep number totally private, junk callers will still call you.

In the end, only turn on second phone when you need it and set up privacy options.

You have spoof apps that can give you a temporary number to your official number and that should work for some time. You also have numbers for trail basis ( meaning cell phone offers that allows you to use them. Many "Pay as you go offers" ) .

The FCC has strict requirements and if you plan to do anything wrong with the second number it is going to be a problem.

    .......

You could also run a emulator and use it with a number and then login to your whatsup.

Usually what people do is they get a cheap phone rate just for that or even have it running on an emulator but it is an official phone but nobody picks up but the applications for social media works. Many actors, performers, people have this system setup.
