    Large folder stuck in WindowApps\MovedPackages


    I recently installed then tried to move Halo Wars 2 through the Microsoft Store but it looks like the move did not finish before I deleted it soon after. There is now a 48GB folder stuck in MovedApps that I cannot seem to delete.

    I have tried changing ownership to my user and admin (including children) but I am still not allowed to delete it. I have also tried dism to cleanup the image, ccleaner to clean the store. The application no longer shows in apps or programs/features to try and delete it again.

    Are there any tools that can clean up this folder? Or another method to get the correct permissions?

    Wiztree free will probably let you, else you can boot your PC to a command prompt or from a live boot disk, or install e.g. Emco Unlockit (free, excellent) which will let you select files or folders and if necessary schedule them for deletion on restart.
