App That Automatically Converts Normal Text To Bold Text, While Typing

Hello, so I was wondering if there is a Windows app that I can open, and once the app is open and I type using the keyboard, it will automatically make everything I'm typing to become bold.

For example, at times when I need to make my font bold, I have to go to this website:
Bold Text Generator (𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐲 & 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘁&#120306 ― LingoJam
then type what I want to become bold, then copy-paste the bold font output from that site to wherever I need it.

Is it possible to skip the middle man and open some app on Windows that automatically converts all the keys while I type them to bold font?

    Thanks

    Hi there
    @pepanee

There might be some settings in the Set up for visually impaired - some of these could be useful even for people with 20/20 vision.

You could use Ctrl-B before you type the firstletter so that all the text after that appears in bold right from the start.
    - This persists after pressing return.

Or just select the relevant text then press Ctrl-B?

jimbo45: I'm not looking for it to show better for me on the screen, I want to use the exact unicode characters that are used to make those specific characters, which look like a bold font.

Try3: Suppose I rename a file in Windows Explorer, I cannot use the Ctrl+B method. I have to use that site to get the bold unicode characters to use for a filename, for example.

I am only looking for an app that will specifically, when enabled, cause every letter & number that I type on my keyboard, in any application that I type into, to use those specific unicode characters, similarly from that website.

Maybe a key mapper for the keyboard.

All I can think of at the moment is...

Yes, I'm looking for an app of this style with the bold keys mapped to regular keys. Know any that work this way?

I would look for a key remapper that lets you insert unicode characters?

I spent quite a while trying to find something that wasn't just a web page converter, and eventually came across this:
MultiKey - free Unicode keyboard utility

I downloaded and installed it - it is quite a few years old, and puts its active components in the Windows directory. It worked (most of the time), and I got to play with its configuration file multikey.ini: you can add your own conversion settings to those already built in, and remove built-in ones you don't want:

I have removed all bar Latin (standard coding), Cyrillic, Coptic, and my own test setup. I have yet to try using unicode values that would give you your 'bold' setting, but can remap any key to any other. It seems worth playing with, but I should warn you that it sometime just refuses to switch codes, and I haven't got to the bottom of why. Its a miracle it runs under Windows 10 at all.

If you try it and think it might be useful, I can probably help with getting your own settings to function - it took me a while.

Hi Martin, thank you for taking the time in looking for the app. I appreciate it.

So I tried it out, and tried looking at the options, and it does change what the keys type, yet I cannot find the bold font in the list of layouts. I tried checking out the multikey.ini file, yet it's too complicated to edit. This app would be perfect if it has those unicode bold font characters saved as a preset in there. I hope there's another app similar to this one out there, updated with bold font.
