I have made it abundantly clear in previous post to you,
that yes, I see UAC prompt if it is enable and obviously if it is disable, I do not see it.
To repeat myself once again I have tried to install the software both in enable and disabled state.
To address your second point “ It seems you would be happier to upgrade to Win 11”
Do you not think you are jumping to conclusions on what my intensions are?
    Rather than asking me?
If you had asked, you would have understood what the purpose was of using windows 11 !
That statement was not helpful to make!!

it seems that u have a corrupted previous install of netlimiter
    try this:
1- remove registry key if found:
    Code:
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\1C9A3069419858E428BAE783600B0468
2- remove registry key if found:
    Code:
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\UpgradeCodes\57454279EA2D1DD4C8B6DA8287AEC384
3- folow this and if u find any registry key remove it.
4- remove the folder named "Locktime Software" in program files if found.
5- press "windowskey+r" and type "%appdata%" and press enter and remove any folder/s with name "Locktime" in it.
6- try to run the installer again.

also make sure that Windows Event Log services is started "EventLog"
i hade similar problem once and found that Windows Event Log services must be runing in order for netlimiter service "nlsvc" to start.

Netlimiter is really nice. I will be honest 1.0 was good as it could get. Otherwise the 64 bit addition also is great. My only concern is maybe the version you was installing It could be 3.0 or even 2.0 Net-limiter still works great when needed. However I find it kinda useless unless I really need to know an IP I want to block.

    Thanks for asking, Abddosbat,
I am sorry to say your suggestion did not work.
    I will explain why.
I keep dated images of my PC in case I need to roll back.
I normally make a fresh image before installing new software.
So before installing netlimiter-4.1.12.0.exe I made the image.
After the installation of netlimiter failed to install.
I re booted my PC into Acronis and restored the previous image to the installation before netlimiter.
    I emailed support@netlimiter.com.
I have not had an answer back from them!
They show very little interest or support for their software!
Just to re cap it’s all down to the services not been started.
I can see that is the case in the windows event log.
If I open services.msc and locate the service for netlimiter, I can see it is not running, if I manually start it, it will stop after 3 seconds!
As a side issue I am using:
    GlassWire Software Version 2.3.374 - (December 9, 2021)
I do, keep re visiting this problem when I get new ideas to try,
It’s become more of a project or a challenge now.

Thank You for your thoughts on the matter, Daymin
    I am using netlimiter-4.1.12.0.exe (64 bit)
