    CCleaner anyone?

    CCleaner
I have been using this software on base settings for a number of years, I have never had an issue with it until recently, my PC is win 11 optimised but I have no intention to install it right now, so I am running win 10, I know from experience that win 10 has its issues at the hands of Microshaft but will not go into details, so when windows security starts flinging error messages about CCleaner being denied access to memory, I have to question, is this CCleaner being naughty or is it windows security trying to swat a midge with a sledgehammer, I cant seem to find a definitive answer online due to bias one way or the other. So, for now I will refrain from turning off the security and ignore the flags in the hope that a definitive solution becomes available before the sun turns red.

Defender has done this before, and when questioned about it... acted all surprised and promised to fix it.
Personally I don't run any of CCleaner's real time modules, and only update it manually...I've have never had an issue.

If Defender keeps flagging it, you could just make an exception for CCleaner.
