How do I reset my printer ink pad counter?

I have an Epson XP820 printer. I am getting a message that says my ink pad counter has reached the end of its life. The epson support says there is a reset utility that will do this, but it is no longer available on their site. I have contacted Epson and they have been less than helpful.

Is there a way to reset the counter? I can't find a setting in the Epson printer software.

    Hi, perhaps you've seen this:
Resetting Epson printers waste ink pad counter using the SSC Service Utility ( The INK Store )

I offer no guarantees- if you choose to use that, it's entirely at your own risk.
I do not have an Epson printer myself and have not used this.

    It says:
The ink pad replacement may be unnecessary, as this is rarely full when the maintenance messages appear. Therefore, the only requirement now is to reset the counter which will then release your printer hardware and start counting your prints from zero once more.
    - so presumably has an appropriate function.

Thanks Dalchina. Yes I saw that but was a bit hesitate to use it. I'll check it out further and let you know if I end up using it.

I ended up using the one on this site:

Reset Epson Printer by yourself. Download WIC reset utility free and reset by Reset Key! WIC - Waste Ink Counter resetter utility.

It was worth the purchase for the reset.
