I do not think you did follow it exactly
Open the V2 log collector 1.1x folder and double click on the log-collector shortcut.
When I double-clicked the shortcut, a command window opened for a few seconds and then closed.

Is there another way to gather the data. I see nothing related in Event Viewer showing an "Error".

As I asked have you extracted the files from the zipped log collector because if you do NOT and try to run on the zipped log collector you get that error

Save log collector V2 log collector 1.1x.zip to where (downloads for example) you want.
Right click on V2 log collector 1.1x.zip in the Downloads folder and select Extract all. This will create a V2 log collector 1.1x folder.
Open the V2 log collector 1.1x folder and double click on the log-collector shortcut.

Alright. It ran. But there is far too much personalized content to share. If there is a specific log that would prove helpful, let me know. Thanks!

So I presume you were not actually executing the procedure as shown.
Whatever the reason, I wish you good luck in getting this problem sorted.
I cannot assist you further without the full logs. There is NO personal information collected by the log-collector, that can be used for malicious or improper purposes.

I would point out to you that 1000`s of users of this site and indeed others have used that log collector and please be assured that IF personalized data was collected, this site would have numerous posts to such effect
