    Microsoft Store Broken

Since about a week ago the Microsoft Store and Solitaire were greyed out on the tiles with an exclamation mark

I noticed a couple of days ago that Solitaire was back to normal however the Store still refused to open.

I've tried the various fixes I've found on here, clearing the cache, resetting the app, reinstalling to no avail, Microsoft troubleshooter.

Hi, please create a new user for test purposes. Log in as that user.
    Does the Store then work?

Have you considered using a System Restore point if you have an appropriate one?
Or restoring your system from a previously created recent disk image? (The routine and regular use of disk imaging is endlessly recommended here - e.g. Macrium Reflect - free/paid)

Are you using a local or MS account?
    For reference:

Use Local account with Windows Store

    Thanks.

MS Store needs updating and the Apps.

Greyed Tiles are an indication of that, and your MS Store version is old.

If you use/have another Account update the same things in that as well.

I suspect you will also need to use SFC and DISM command line stuff on your Windows install, tutorials are on here.

It should normally, but sometimes things get messed up, so as dalchina suggested, try a different account. I've recently experienced where a Microsoft Store app wouldn't update in one account, but updated fine in the second account - and then it showed the updated version in the first account.

Hi, I tried creating a new user, but the problem persisted.

Eventually I did an in-place install which fixed the issue. However, Windows Updates happened, and now the issue has reoccurred.

I don't particularly use the Store but I do use Gamepass which needs to update and install games through the store to operate.

My build is 19044.1288 (preview builds are not applied).

    As you can see:

    - the Store is fine.

    Here's my recent update history:

Suggest you review yours and consider uninstalling any preview updates, for example, if indeed the problem is caused by one.

You can then install updates in turn - the Control Panel, Program and Features view is most helpful there - and see if the Store works again.
