Backlit keys problem

Well Asus support was as useless as an ashtray on a motorcycle so I opened the registry and changed the key as in pic to (0) form being (1) I left it in hexidecimal and the backlit feature has not happened since. What I want to know is should I have used decimal setting instead even though it seems to be working??

Thanks Steve that is reassuring to know as I am not savvy enough with the smaller details - fingers crossed eh?

What is really annoying is the Asus support as I have alwasy used their products ie motherboards GPU's sound cards etc for many years now.

Yes well I got that from the days I used to do a bit of biking - see pic.

Darn it pic won't attach But it was big 1100cc Yamaha the top version of the bike in my signature.

Yes mate that change in the registry seems to have done the trick and why Asus support could not have told me that I am at a loss for???? Like the clip
