Now I have found a new setting in the regedit settings for the Asus keyboard lights and am wondering what I should change the numbers to?
Currently I have it set to 120 decimal and the hexadecimal is f0 - any ideas please as the thing switching off is driving me nuts see pic.

Do the lights turn off after 2 minutes currently? If yes, then that's probably it - but will require you to confirm by setting it to say 15 for a quick test.

No Steve they seem to be about an hour though it can be intermittent too. I am just hoping that the lights will stay on for that 240 seconds that I think I have set it to? If it does turn off then I might go for a much higher value say for a months worth of seconds.

The machine currently goes to sleep after about 20 minutes and the lights turn back on as son as I touch the space bar or mouse the really odd thing is that they will go off in the middle of a session. I don't know ate it is really quite frustrating and it is a shame that Asus dropped the ATK package so that the keys can be set as one wants them.

I'm sure you'll have a Macrium image before changing the value.

What happens if you change 240 to 10?

Yes mate I have a Macrium image plus I have two backups of the registry from some time ago. I have set it to a months worth of seconds just so i can see if that works nad anyway I can try what you say if push comes to shove as I know the original setting was (20).
