    Cannot change default jpg viewer

    Hi

sometime recently my default program to view jpg files has changed to paint.

I want to change it back to PaintShop Pro but that is not offered as an option using
"Open With" or "Reset Default programs by file type".

Other picture viewers are shown as an option as is "chose another program in the app store"
    but nothing else is suitable.

Please advise how I can fix this issue.

    Thanks

    Daniel

IN Paintshop Pro... go to.... File > Preferences > File Format Associations, and check mark all the file types you want to open with PSP.

I'm on an older version, PSP 7.04 ...it might be slightly different in a newer version.

IIRC, then you will be able to set the associations in Windows.

    Daniel,

    I agree with Ghot.

The other approach would take much more fiddling about:-
    Right-click on a jpg file,
    Open with,
    Choose another app,
[Set the checkbox for Always use this app - in anticipation of success in this procedure & safe in the knowledge that you can just escape at any point to get out of it without any changes being made]
Scroll to the bottom of the displayed list,
    Select More apps,
Have a look to see if PaintShop Pro is listed,
If it is then select it and click on the OK button,
Otherwise scroll to the bottom of the displayed list,
Select Look for another app on this PC then browse to PaintShop Pro's main .exe file,
Select it & click on the Open button.

    All the best,
    Denis
