    Ultra-CPU-Monitor Not Working

I've been using Ultra-CPU-Monitor portable for a long time, with few problems. For about a day, it starts OK, but does not show any CPU usage; nor any error messages.

Anyone else having such issues? Any ideas how to correct? Or a recommendation for another app what will put the CPU usage in the systray?

Resource Monitor - part of windows and simply right click and click pin to taskbar
type resource in search bar = right click it when it appears as
    resource monitor app
    right click
    pin to taskbar

Thank you for your reply, but the Resource Monitor does not put any indicators in the systray, as I'd like. I just tried another monitoring program and it also showed 0% for CPU usage, which I know is incorrect. So, it appears that something in Windows 10 is affecting the percentage shown in the other programs (Resource Monitor does show the proper percentage). Any suggestions to correct this?

I do not unfortunately know of an app that wll actually put it in the systray, as against merely clicking on the icon in the taskbar for resource monitor - which as you say shows the correct percentage
There are some on the Store if you care to look

HWInfo64 can put % CPU and GPU indicators in the Systray, can also interface with Aida, MSI Afterburner, RTSS and others for monitoring, graphing values.

Thanks for your reply. I've had HWiNFO64 for a long time and wasn't aware I could put a CPU monitor in the systray. I just opened it and got an icon in the systray, but it didn't show CPU %. Could you please tell me how to get just the CPU % to show there?

If you happen to know of a program (preferably portable) that shows both CPU % and Memory %, I'd be most appreciative. Fortunately, my Meminfo portable program is working fine.

Open HWInfo, open sensors, click the cog at the bottom, choose System Tray tab and configure from there.

Thanks very much for the additional information. I managed to configure HWiNFO, the two numbers appeared in the systray, then disappeared.

I ran my shortcut to the systray icons and saw three for HWiNFO: CPU, Memory, and the program. I attempted to change the Behaviors from 'only show notifications' to 'show icon and notifications', but after selecting OK, the program closes, with no HWiNFO icons appearing.

On a lark, I ran Ultra-CPU-Monitor and it is now showing the correct CPU percentage! Even though there is no logical explanation for how this got resolved, it is.

Many thanks for your comments and suggestions.

I think these monitoring programs may use certain .dlls or other support files that can interact with each other, for example HWInfo64 opens up much more functionality if the Riva tuner statistics (can be obtained from Guru3d.com, as well as some other nifty utilities) software is also installed, or maybe in this case HWInfo modified the registry in such a way as to allow Ultra CPU monitor to work properly.
But glad it seems to work the way you want now.
