Cannot delete an app called DeskNite

I made a BIG mistake. I enjoy astronomy apps and I installed one called "DeskNite".
It wasn't anything I wanted so I tried to delete it.
    And tried.
    And tried.
    And tried.
I can't find any reference to it by seeking it on the Internet.
I tried to delete all references to it in the registry but some of them refuse to be deleted. A messsage pops up saying it can't be deleted.
I am angry, and I want this app off my omputer.
Before I do a complete reset, I wanted to see if any of you forum folk had any suggestions.

    Thanks for reading.

Just do a System Restore to a time before you installed DeskNite

You haven't told us how/what you "tried, tried, and tried" .....

    "Delete", or uninstall ?

Tried uninstalling using freeware programs ....
    - Geek Uninstaller
    - RevoUninstaller Pro

Don't forget to run the extra options (Advanced for Revo) to remove left-over registry and files/folders

EDIT > Manual attempts to remove from registry unsuccessful because it's probably still running in the background. Need to make sure it's shut down properly.

Also, if you can find program files/folders, but can't delete, boot from a Linux distro USB (e.g. Mint) and delete using that. Linux distro loads/runs in the device's memory, do not install.
