How Do I Add Custom Program To Autoplay Options?

I want to add Winamp (or other program) to the cd Autoplay options. Also, same for dvd Autoplay options. How to do? (possible to avoid using 3rd party or registry hack?)

    -thx

If your media player/s is/are already set up, try opening Settings, and then in the search box enter
Play CDs or other media automatically
which should take you to the Control Panel where hopefully, your media player/s should be listed amongst the choices for the autoplay of each media type.

    How do you do that?

    It should be this easy:

Thank you so much for your reply and advising that.

Presumably the program is not registered to handle what you want to do with it.

Kindly advise if that is so.

    And what is the program?

Remember - respondents cannot see your PC and my crystal ball is sadly down for maintenance.

Are you perhaps referring to the portable version of Winamp?

    You need the installed version....

thx, I am referring to the installed version. However, the op also refers to a seamless W10 function with any app not available in the drop-downs.
