    Windows Photo app not showing TrueDarkBlack colors , on launch


    Windows Photo app not showing TrueDarkBlack colors ,
    on launch of Windows Photo app , TrueDarkBlack nearly appears for 1 sec then it shifts the black color and its not pure black

    Monitor--
    LG 27 inch (68.5 cm) 4K-UHD (3840 x 2160) HDR 10


    ( 27UL550 )


    below side by side comparison

    1st Image----4K HDR10 OFF
    ~~~~same pic from 4K Call of duty Modern Warfare 2019 -gameplay pic without HDR GamePlay sceenshot~~~~~~
    Right image~~~from PAINT app and its pure black present
    LeftImage~~~~ from Photo app its not pure black

    2nd Image at the bottom- With HDR10 ON

    HDR10 OFF

    HDR10 ON


    Nvidia res. settings tried using default(8bit colors)
    and also with 10 bit colors

    It probably won't matter, but there's a new driver for that monitor. Just came out Sep 2nd.

    Seems this might just be a problem with Windows Photo app itself. I googled: windows photo app - color rendition
    and got some interesting results. Seems the problem is inherent in Windows Photo app itself.

    new driver is good and OnScreen control center with Nvidia G-sync support is best
