    Microsoft Store

Does anyone ever use the Microsoft Store. I have never been able to get into it.
Maybe someone can tell me how to use the store.

    Thanks

I do to update the MS apps.
When you say you can’t get into it do you mean you cannot access the store when you click on the Store app or that it’s missing from the start menu?

I use the store regularly to rent, buy films, TV series and occasionally games and apps, and to update Win apps, it works fine for me on Win10 Pro, 21h1 with an MS account.
Are you using an MS account to log in or not? Have you used any debloat scripts? Are you using any 3rd party update managers? Have you turned off any Windows services using an online guide?
What happens when you click on the store icon in the start menu? Any error messages? Any errors logged in event viewer relating to the store app?

    I had that problem, too.

To get to Windows Store I do this ...
    Press the Windows-key
    Type "store"
    Select "Windows Store"
... and a new window opens.

In task manager that window shows as "ApplicationFrameHost.exe".

    The window says:
    Try that again
Page could not be loaded. Please try again later.
    Code: 0x80131500

I traced the problem to a site being blocked in the hosts file:
    0.0.0.0 store-images.s-microsoft.com
That entry was put there by a malware-blocker site-list utility.

I removed it and the Microsoft Store became accessible once more.

I guess what I mean is I can NOT sign into the Windows store. I try to use my gmail info but that take me circles. Do I need to get an ID and PW just for the Microsoft store? If so, how do I get that?

    Thanks

You will need to get a Microsoft Account (Outlook Email).
Just get an Outlook Mail Account which is part of the same thing, same as Gmail.

Afaik all that’s required is to sign in with the same account you use with your Microsoft account.
