    I was able to copy and paste all the needed documents and photos from the test disk recovery folder without any problems .

    I understand that, but the test will come whether (all) the recovered files are usable/readable. It is possible that they are, and that would be an excellent outcome, but I've come across situations on users devices where the recovery process appears to have been successful, only to find that some (and unfortunately in one case, all) are merely names of empty shells, unusable/unreadable files.

    Just a heads up.

    @idgat ,

    It was ok this time and this was the third software i tried to recover my files .

    First i tried disk drill
    Second i tried wondershare recoverit
    Third time i tried test disk .

    I think test disk is the best because as soon as it starts the recovery process it creates directories and puts the recovered files in those folders and i can copy and paste it to any location i want to open the files

    :)

    Not heard of testdisk before. Definitely a keeper, thanks all.
