Because Avast (Avast becoming Norton) people doesn't know what he or she is doing
That is condescending to our members, who in my opinion, have a very real grasp of computers and computer operating systems. They have helped you numerous times in the past.

Give it a rest already, you don't even use CCleaner so stop posting on this thread, it's getting boring. Also how do you know people don't know what's happening? Give them a bit more credit, generally the people on this forum do know what they are doing as they normally help you!

You have a major bee in your bonnet about CCleaner don't you? Why are you going through their forums if you don't even use the software? Are you just trying to wind people up?

The other members on here are a lot more tech savvy than you are, hence why you are always asking for help. Give it a rest and stop posting on this thread.

Who needs those sorts of apps any more.

Any sensible software has proper uninstall procedures. If it doesn't don't install it in the first place.

Well any in depth configurable system cleaner will always have bugs. The author cannot be expected to maintain software that will work on all systems or versions of windows with various user tweaks or configurations applied and any combination of software installed including writing rules for all possible installed versions of software from newly updated versions to the oldest available versions. All they can do is release updates and then issue fixes for reported problems. Generally for users having problems with new versions of Ccleaner the fix is to roll back to the previous version until the reported issue is fixed. They will only fix issues that affect multiple users.

I use an older version of Ccleaner with winapp2.ini rules (trimmed) and it works fine.
