Adobe Acrobat DC 64-bit or 32-bit?

I use Acrobat DC and always thought it was a 64bit app, however after checking my installation it shows as a 32bit app. After searching I found that Adobe only released the 64bit version of Acrobat for Windows only recently. You can get it here . Has anyone tested it? Is it stable? Any performance improvement over the 32bit version? Thanks for your feedback

    Hello @antares,

For a very long time I used 32-bit Acrobat DC although my OS is 64-bit and I Never had ANY problems with it. Since my last install though, I now use the Chrome PDF Reader [ I have the standalone Google Chrome installed ]. I would quite willingly go back to the 32-bit Acrobat DC if that is of any help.

Also, have a look at these for further information . . .

    I hope this helps.

You did read at here that it does say the following
Currently, Acrobat DC 64-bit for Windows is available in the following geographies - Australia, New Zealand, and the UK. Enterprise customers are advised not to use the installer because all enterprise configurations are yet not supported on 64-bit Acrobat.
That probably means they are slowly rolling it out and not ready for general release. It is probably OK to use with the understanding it is at your own risk.

    I confirmed that...

The main site for Acrobat DC reader is: Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Download | Free PDF viewer for Windows, Mac OS, Android

If you click on "Do you have a different language or operating system?" you will still only be offered a 32-bit version.
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions

However, you will find more if you click on "System requirement" and then click on "Find more system requirements." If you scroll down you will see this:

    Acrobat Reader DC 64-bit

Acrobat Reader DC 64-bit for Windows is available in the following geographies - Australia, New Zealand, and the UK. Gradually, the 64-bit application will be available in more geographies.

I'm still able to download the installer from that official site even though I'm not in Australia, New Zealand or UK, am I missing something?

No. You found the site unofficially. Note you can't find that link on Adobe's official web site. I am sure that people in Australia, New Zealand or UK will find it on the Adobe's web site for their country.

Adobe probably doesn't care if anyone else uses the 64-bit version. You just have to remember that you can't complain if you have any problems with it.

Adobe is probably using the people in Australia, New Zealand or UK as beta testers to work out any bugs. When they are satisfied they will probably release it officially to everyone else. I should have said English language version. Other languages may have to be tested separately and released at a different date.

Thanks, then until the final 64bit version is released worldwide we're better off with the current 32bit version.
