Hello doudiii,

Are you saying that the dll you specified was needed to be added to get the Win10XPE build working with Windows 25272.1000 or are you saying that it has something to do with HWinfo plugin being discussed in the image you included. I guess I am confused as to what you are alluding to in your post. Additionally, Windows 25272.1000 is a Windows Insider Dev Build and thus not necessarily stable whereas I think most users of Win10XPE are using the last stable version of 22621.525 released on TechBench or even earlier stable version.

I'm trying to edit and save wimpe by capturing the system image with gimagex to later replace the .wim file in the iso with my own little edits, but I always get the error "file cannot be accessed as it is being used by another software ". I added the VSS service to the build but I keep getting the same error, even though the service is started. Any help on how to save direct changes made to the system?

Windows 11 22H2 as a basis for winpe build.
Winpe started in virtualbox.

yes,from 25272.1000 you need to add "Windows.Devices.Lights.dll"
tested also with 25281.1000 & its ok

Has anyone else noticed that for at least the past 3 days that I've been checking, the TechBench site, which is used for source ISO's for this Win10XPE project, is no longer serving files. I have selected different versions of Windows 11 and Windows 10 and the result is always "File is not available for download". I even tried using a different browser.

I tried UUP but even though I get a good ISO after the lengthy UUP script process and use it to successfully build a Win10XPE project, it fails to boot to the Win10XPE desktop. This has been the case for months with UUP while the TechBench source works properly for me. Is there a "correct" way of running the UUP script.

Are there other alternative sites similar to TechBench that serve up the same required source ISO's. I have backed up ISO's I can use for my build for now but a reliable working online source site is also a must have.

Thanks for the reply, doudiii. I am aware of both URL's that you mention. The uup.rg-adguard.net URL seems to be a simplified interface to the uupdump.net URL. Either way, the file that is downloaded is a CMD script that needs to be executed so it can download the required files and build the requested ISO. While this has worked for me in the past, it no longer works for me. This is why I also asked if there a "correct" way of running the UUP script. Some members of this forum seem to use ISO's sourced from UUP and others even use Windows Insider builds. For those forum members who derive their source ISO from UUP, I ask what are the steps they take to produce an ISO that works with Win10XPE. I have produced UUP ISO's and built my Win10XPE project without error using that ISO but it fails to boot to the Win10XPE desktop whereas using the TechBench ISO's always boot to the Win10XPE desktop.

When TechBench is not working you may Google for the SHA1 code to search for the
same ISO to download.
