I've written a batch file to run some file validations that I want to run when the USB drive boots up. It involves some file date stamp comparisons using some "IF EXISTS" and "FORFILES" and file copies as well as some screen echos as messages.

can i easily rewrite it into the pecmd.ini or am i better to just call that batch file at the end of the boot sequence, like an autoexec.bat file would do.

I don't why i'm struggling with this so much. I've got the shortcut in "All Programs" now, and after i run it once it shows up in the StartMenu list, but i want it there from the get go. In this screen shot it's there because i ran it once and then moved it to the top, but that's where i'm trying to get it from boot.
I have the help.txt and help.bat (.bat just opens it in notepad) both in X:\Program files\Misc and Y:\Programs\Misc
I put in both in an effort to get it to work from somewhere...

    Hi Dale,

Try to use the [PINTOOL] section of pecmd.ini

    Code:
    TaskBar1=%ProgramFiles%\Misc\yourbatch.cmd||||||||

Hi all, I just want to know if anyone knows how I can remove these 2 icons on system tray, I mean every boot up? Thanks

    Attachment 379079

First icon is pecmd which I don't use, can be toggle on off, but I want it off on boot...
    Code:
    [INIT]
    Format : INIT [C] [I] [K] [U]
Function: Perform basic initialization, register Windows shell, initialize user folders and environment variables, install the keyboard hook, and create the following directories:
Favorites, Programs, Desktop, SendTo, StartMenu, Personal, Startup, QuickLaunch
    Parameters:
    ■ Parameter “C” indicates writing the drive letter into environment variable
    ■ parameter “I” means installing some functions of PECMD in the tray icon menu.
    ■ Parameter “K” indicates executing INIT command to immediately install low-level keyboard hook. Otherwise, install low-level keyboard hook after loading SHELL.
    ■ Parameter “U” means writing the USB letter into environment variable. (The function is not perfect.)
    Example:
    ◆ INIT
    ◆ INIT C
    ◆ INIT CH
    ◆ INIT CIK
    ◆ INIT CIKU
    Remarks :
※ After executing INIT command, perform the SHEL to load the specified SHELL. Then a minimized WinPE can be booted.
※ Make sure that there is writable space in the partition where %USERPROFILE% is before executing INIT command. Otherwise, INIT command can not complete the work.
※ With parameter “C”, the drive letter is stored in the environment variables starting with CDROM. (These environment variables will take effect after restarting and refreshing.)
※ Parameter “K” indicates instantly installing the keyboard hook, taking charge of Ctrl + Alt + Del, and calling out Task Manager.
※ With parameter “U”, USB drive letter is stored in the environment variables starting with USB. (These environment variables will take effect after restarting and refreshing.)
※ The public offering WinPE INIT command is not recommended to have “K” parameter. This command can not be used in the command line. It can only be used in the configuration file.
change "INIT IU,3000" with "INIT U,3000"

it means testing edition. Davies usually does that, the 7-zip guy leaves his recent versions as "beta" for a very long while as well.
Usually Davies has added some new esoteric function that most people would never understand or use.

    @doudiii

Thanks for the help, found it out as well from other forums.

I got another question though, I just realized that the Tray icon functions like clicking the date doesn't show the Calendar and Set time on the right click menu and most of the entries in it doesn't work like it used to. Tried with wimbuilder2 and it still all work fine.

Anyone has an idea how to make it work again? Thanks in advance

Did you set your "Source Media"
As "\Win10XPE\Temp\AOMEI Partition Assistant\AOMEI Partition Assistant\x64\lang" Exists in Application...

    What is the location of the %BaseDirectory% ( D or C:\Win10XPE )

Have you made a build yet ? The tools may not have been download... as if that is the path - the Application did not extract...
Verify this file exists > "\Win10XPE\Projects\Tools\innounp.exe"
