That means You can integrate the driver and the printer will install automatically every time it's detected.

You probably could skip the procedure completely. and windows would find the printer and install it every time it's needed.

That would be great for a NETWORK printer , but a plug-in-and-play printer would have to be plugged in at each XPE bootup. I may integrate it into the build as-is, but only by storing in the ISOroot folder. No plugin.

I haven't yet got XPE printing to connect to a network printer via wifi.

No you don't have to create a plugin. just extract your driver to a folder with it's required inf.

While in Winbulder go to "Build Core", in the bottom right you will find "Integrate drivers", Click "Copy drivers here" button. Put that folder in there, Click the small blue play button just next to it.

Give a Test to the build, the changes are easy to reverse, and the worst that could happen is you have to unplug and plug back the printer.

    Thanks MaloK!

I have my SDcard reader drivers in that folder, and they do take space in boot.wim as far as I can tell.

Yes, but if you need it often it's worth it, there are also other methods to add missing drivers after startup.

Ok, thank you for the Project Updates in this forum:

    One more question:

Do all the new Win10XPE project versions support PEBakery too?
I see only Winbuilder engine references

Yes, this project works using PEBakery as an alternate builder
personally, I always use the latest nightly, but the GitHub links are down at the moment but you could get them here if needed
How to use PEBakery to create Windows PE.
