Win10XPE - Build Your Own Rescue Media [2]

    I was using my WinPE then shut it down. After rebooting, i encountered a BSOD saying system32\winload.exe couldn't be found (0x000000e).. doing a little bit of investigation showed that the drive letters of my Host drives were messed up. Had to use diskpart & bootrec commands to fix broken boot.

    Was this due to WinPE messing the drive letters? @MaloK

    @AuraticTrance,

    I don't think so, It never happened to me and I mess a lot with it.

    Edit: It seems that you are not alone another user reported the same symptoms with Bob's PESE.

    Try using the Project of this topic - Win10XPE - Bob has not been around for years.... And you are looking for support in a topic that is not related to your issues... Move your discussion over to TheOven... Thank You..

    Awesome Kyhi. But how. Will you document the process. Does this bypass the Win11 cpu and tpm requirements. I can't get any source beyond 20H2 to work for my builds. Impressed!!

    Any instructions on how to make that Windows 11 PE to work? I tried a few times and it always gives me black empty screen on boot :)

    So do I... I call task manager with ctrl+alt+del and right click explorer.exe, open file location... And I landed in explorer. But without desktop and taskbar just black screen. And many programs refused to run. What are we missing?

    Edit and unmark in Pecmd.ini and/to use WinXshell

    Code:
     _SUB LoadShell
    FIND $%USERNAME%=SYSTEM,SHEL %WinDir%\explorer.exe
    SHEL %ProgramFiles%\WinXShell\WinXShell.exe -winpe
    Else not having much luck with Win11 - even a tasklist compare from win10 to win11 results in missing modules in win11 ( i assume no longer used or combined into another application) (No DWM)...

    No Luck with "StartAllBack" either (Win11 version of Start Is Back Plus Plus)

    Sounds like ChrisR may have abandoned Win10XPE and have no intention to continue on Win11XPE? Any word from him?
