    Hi Jon,

I'm not sure i'm following you on this one, I use Kyhi VC++ Plugin and there is no problem there. I tested your VC++ Plugin, and Dependency Walker reports are exactly the same.

Nice!!! Is there a way to make it stop at options and wait for user input ?.. I made it that way to be able choose installation options. And also, I didn't want it to run automatically because 99% of the time it's not used.

In the WireShark_XPE.script, There is a little error on line #18 preventing VCC++ dependency to be found.

And I noted that npCap with Full Win10 Software Hives... There is no need to copy npcap.sys to system32 and the service start automatically without intervention too.

I don't have that VC++ plugin, didn't find it anywhere, so I made my own.

Of course it could stop at options, I'll put a checkbox in the plugin for it. I didn't see much of a need, but why not. I suppose running automatically could be optional but it's so small...

What error on 18? Works for me.

For me the installer doesn't copy npcap.sys or start the service. No idea why it does for you. But it does no harm to copy it and start it.

It appears impossible to write a new message in this thread.

While I'm here, anybody know a way for a script to write to HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-18 (Local_System)? Other than writing a .reg and importing it at runtime?

Download the AOD_MegaCmd_XPE.Script from Post #2 replace the old one in \Projects\MyPlugins\Utilities. It will give you access to a bunch of plugins available for the project.

Already Reverse Engineered your Script I will integrate it in my Plugin later today. While it is a small installer it still Writes over 11Mb of settings and filters + Creates a bunch of network bindings in the registry... This is the main reason for leaving it with manual installation.

No error just needed a refresh

Try to enable Core/Build/Use Full Win10 Software Hive... But yes, it doesn't harm to be sure...

Here's the AutoIT script that takes a second command line argument, 0 or 1 to pause at options.

    Seems lost...

And even logging out and logging back in I still can't create a new message!

    @JonF
If the error message is what your getting in trying to d/l VcRunTimes, did you do as Malok suggested and use the updated script via ''Download the AOD_MegaCmd_XPE.Script from Post #2 '' of this thread, I've just checked and it d/l's correctly for me.

Aomei Partition Assistant Version 9.4 (Aug 5th, 2021) released
    Release Notes
Check %CheckVersion% variable is 9.4 and hit Update button then run script to process

@Kyhi works as is, but I guess some file changes required to add new defrag functionality

***edit Defrag function doesn't seem to appear in PE version anyway

I did get AOD_MegaCmd_XPE.Script from Post #2. It failed just as I posted.

    My updated NPCap script.

And exiting Chrome isn't enough to post a new message. Some overzealous flood control?

mmm no idea why then, does it also fail if you try the VcRunTimes link from the script direct in a browser?

To make doubly sure I just downloaded again from the second message and did a file compare with the copy under Wind10XPE. Identical.

Downloading from the link in the script, in Chrome, worked.
