Hi Garyfallos
thanks for the heads up on the url change for Advanced IP Scanner d/l
Clarification please re the above-posted Explorer view settings issue that I've seen with Win10XPE builds based on Windows 10 21H1 and 21H2 ISOs. Does nil response indicate that it is not seen / not reproduceable by anyone else? Or does it merely indicate that others have have seen the same result but are unaware of any solution?
In other words, should I be looking for some problem that is unique to my own particular working environment? Or is it known by others to be inherent in the use of Win10XPE with those recent W10 ISO sources?
Hello all,
7-Zip stable version 21.06 was released on Nov 24, 2021.
This looks to be the fist stable public version since version 19.00 early in 2019.
Changing the Program Version box to 21.06 and hitting the Update button is all that needs to be done.
Please note that is seems you need to properly set the Windows Source folder before hitting the Update button because the script uses the architecture (x86 or x64) of the source to install the corresponding version of 7-zip. If no source folder is selected it seems to default to the x86 version of 7-Zip.
These rescue disks are looking for the file CDUsb.Y on the ROOT of ANY drive when they boot. If you are not burning them directly the way they were intended to be used, you can extract the CDUsb.Y file AND the "Programs" folder(And any other custom folders) and put them on the root of your USB. Then multi-boot setups should allow your programs to operate correctly.
You also can use KYHI's preferred method on his builds, and on the Build Core>Main Interface, below the keyboard and time zone settings there is an option to Run ALL from RAM. This should stop programs from running from USB, in this case you wont need to copy anything from the ISO and it should work properly for your purpose.

Hello @all,
I tried to set up a Win10XPE under Windows 11 with the ISO of 12/27/21. It also works quite well so far, only the WLAN is inactive or deactivated.
What can I do?
Best regards,

Hi all,
Sorry for the newb question, but I’m having some trouble parsing how to go about doing this: I use an external audio device/sound card that is connected via USB and has no drivers of its own, relying instead on Windows’ native USB Audio 2.0 drivers (“usbaudio2.sys”). Win10XPE completes my ISO build (with the Audio support box checked) and seems to contain the older “usbaudio.sys” (no “2”), but I seem to be unable to get it to include and install the 2.0 drivers, and therefore my audio device is not working. I have tried the “copy drivers here” integration option via manually pasting usbaudio2.inf from another install, but that seems to have no effect and usbaudio2.sys still fails to show up in system32\drivers or elsewhere after building an ISO and launching from USB drive. I have also attempted to point Device Manager in WinPE to the same INF but Windows then complains that the driver is appropriate for the device but not digitally signed (it also describes it as “third-party”).
Any help would be appreciated, and thank you to those who so diligently support this forum and project for those of us less knowledgeable!
