    Blocked exe file

I am sure someone somewhere has a virtual voodoo doll of me. This is the exe file for a game I have had since 2007. It has never happened before. I have scanned the folder with Kaspersky. It says its clean. I have switched off UAC, then switched off the pc, and restarted it, same problem. It says an admin blocked me, no I didn't. I even removed a couple of ad blockers in case, no difference. Using geek I even uninstalled the left over files.

This time I get a message that tells me the following:

    Blocked exe file-sh41.jpg

Hi, loads of help around for that message: e.g.
An administrator has blocked you from running this app
How to fix “An administrator has blocked you from running this app” error on Windows 10?

Here's part of it for search purposes which I screen OCR'd for you:
An administrator has blocked you from running this app. For more information, contact the administrator.

    There's even a tenforums tutorial:
Bypass This app has been blocked for your protection in Windows 10

Dal: using you second link 'How to ...........' I went through the regedit section as the previous ones did not work. I followed the path and arrived at enableLUA, I opened it and set the 1 to 0. Then rebooted and it worked. The exe file opened the game. I assume I leave it set at 0.

Next: Someone in here go and kick MS up the proverbials and shout DONT FIX what isnt BROKE. They change things for the sake if it and have now created what appears to be a common problem.

    THANK YOU AGAIN Dal!
