    Best Windows 10 weather app?

I don't know about the users experience in other regions, but for me the Windows built in default MSN Weather is useless. Particularly noticeable in the summer. Today, for instance, the reported temperature is 12 degrees under the actual temperature.

I'm looking for a free alternative, or perhaps suggestions on how to help the MSN Weather app.

Hi, is your physical location close to where the app thinks you are? Have you tried setting your physical location?

Are there very large variations in temperature in your region? Is it possible there are few reporting stations near to you?

Mine is pretty accurate here in the UK.

If you search for "weather <your location>" thus:

    is the result more accurate?

Forecast accuracy largely depends on the weather provider; I believe MSN uses Foreca.

I'm in the USA and use this site to check accuracy for a given location, monthly and yearly stats for accuracy and you can sort by temperature, precipitation etc.

Most of the providers have an app.

The most consistently accurate weather forecasts come from the US National Weather Service and the Weather Channel.

The location of the nearest weather station matters, your location just tries to match that.

A shortcut to the site of the local (nearest) branch of your state or national weather service will give you as accurate a current report as you can get. (By that I mean that you can kinda, sorta count on their predictions.)

Too true- was just watching an informative documentary on the jet stream- and how its future position will affect our climate rather badly. (What sort of summer and winter we get depends greatly on whether it's to the north, the south, or split 'blocked'.

Famously, because of it, there was no forecast of a great storm in Oct 1987 here that uprooted some millions of trees and damaged property.
