Everything was fine - suddenly gmail went dutch, yahoo is swedish. Many of my log ins have vanished and facebook does not know me. I can not get in here but can sign in via my vivaldi start page? All settings in pc are for United Kingdom.

I'm certainly no expert, and may be jumping the gun here. But, I would use Windows Security or whichever AV you have, and scan for a virus/malware.
You can also run a free online scan with ESET.

Thanks WXC, still working on it. Just had a message from Google, welcome to your new windows???? I've been here for years! Currently running Kaspersky Total Sec scan. Not sure about ESET, had something on trial years ago and could not remove the folder from the pc for years! Still not sure if its still there.
the only way I get in is via my icon on vivaldi start menu, something keeps stopping me coming in via a desktop icon. Its not just here either. Latest: Amazon wanted to know why I was signing in from Ukraine.

All desktop icons that required a pass are now being changed 1 by 1, incl 10 forums. None have remembered passwords.
KTS is still running scan, it will take a long time. The previous quick scan showed nothing. Just before this Facebook was throwing loads of video adverts all over my page. I switched to another account and they were in there as well but american fast food ads and 'curious' ones about black women. I started to delete them (long process) and suddenly found that my secondary account was 'scheduled for deletion' - I have no idea what this fascist org is doing but I give up, they can go to hell.
I can only imagine your frustration. I'm sorry.
