Why do I have to reinstall SmartGesture after everry windows version?

I have an ASUS laptop. It came with a program called SmartGesture which lets you two finger scroll.

It worked fine for years. Windows updates, no problem, etc.

Then, I did a Windows Refresh.

Ever since, whenever Windows downloads and installs changes, SmartGesture gets removed and I have to reinstall it.

What is the reason?

Take a look at the notes in red on the page I have linked to below. Could this possibly apply to your computer? Do you have an "ATK" driver?

Also, do you have the latest Smart Gesture touchpad drivers installed? It appears to be 4.0.12.

So does Settings, Devices, Touchpad.

So you have another method if you cannot resolve your problem.

I suggest going to Asus support site and checking for updated Bios, drivers & other utilities.
