    Your Phone

Hi everyone. I'm the system administrator on my machine but I'm curious to know how I can unblock this app. I never put any restrictions on it and used it quite often. What is the best way to take any restrictions on my "Your Phone" Windows app. The message I get upon opening it is " this app has been blocked by system administrator"

    Could possibly be malwarebytes
add it to the allowed list
    https://support.malwarebytes.com/hc/...s/360038479234

if it is shown on some blocked list.

Also on settings, apps - click the Your Phone app and try on advanced options a repair - if that does not work try a reset.

    Malwarebytes

So I used to have Malware Bytes but since I have uninstalled it. Would that app stay if it was put into a "Blocked" status ? If so... how would I go about remedying that?

    Please amend your spec
    From My Computers
    Antivirus: Malware Bytes

it saves time being wasted by both of us.

Did you simply use the uninstall from apps for malwarebytes or the malwarebytes uninstaller as well
    https://support.malwarebytes.com/hc/...s-Support-Tool

Run the tool and of course at point 11 click NO.

    ===================
Have you tried the suggested repair/reset option for the app

Ok! So most on that spec except the Antivirus was correct. Now I just use Windows Defender.

I also tried reinstalling it, and then using that tool you suggested, as well as doing the repair and still can't seem to get that program to be allowed

So all other apps to appear to work fine. This is the only one. I do not have another account that I could try this on tho, there is only one account on this studio machine. It appears also that it did find some issues...

Try it on the system account
    net user administrator /active:yes

from a admin cmd prompt then reboot and log into that account. Unless you have set it the password is left blank

Presuming the negative means it was the same result on the system account
    issue the cmd
    net user administrator /active:no
to disable access to that account, as having it open is a security risk.
