    Not sure if this can be done but I'll try. My son was in a wedding yesterday and he sent 20 pictures to my phone, I have an android, can these pictures be somehow put into google photos? I have windows 10, version 10.0.19041 Build.

    Assuming you have the Google Photos app on your phone {if not get it here https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.photos&hl=en}}
    Go to settings in the app and make sure "back up and sync" is enabled.

    You can then view/edit the pics on your phone and the web Google Photos

    The photos are not there. I have the google photos app on my phone but apparently it will not backup photos that were sent to me in a text. Any other suggestions?

    Something else, does the phone have the optional MicroSDXC memory card in it and is set to store photos on it? My wife's does [I use a flipphone] and I can remove the card and put it in the adapter it came with to connect to a computer with the SDHC card reader.

    I do not know what you mean by photo's sent in a text. Whatsapp?
    I suggest to install File Manager Plus. It easily finds files and you can easily copy or move files to locations you want.

    Just long-tap on the picture, or tap the 3 dot menu or share button, there should be something like that. From there on you will be able to export it to your photo gallery on your phone and then Google photos will be able to upload it
